Resan till Kep

Tisdag morgon var det dags för oss att lämna Phnom Penh och ta bussen ned till sydkusten och Kep. En resa på cirka 15 mil som tog ca 5½ timme och där luftkonditioneringen droppade ned på våra säten under hela bussturen med tillfälliga störtskurar vid kraftig inbromsning. Vi var glada att komma av bussen vid Kep beach och nu har vi installerat oss cirka 6 km norr om Kep beach på ett nyöppnat ställe kallat Khmer village bungalow resort. Vi har tyvärr inget internet där vi bor så uppdateringen kommer bli sparsam härifrån, men det är fantastiskt fint och rofyllt! Vi bor i stora bungalows vid norra delen av Kep nationalpark, mitt ute bland kossor och risfält. Det är kolsvart på kvällarna och mörkret bryts endbart av små lyktor som hänger här i området. Det enda som hörs är ljuden från syrsor, geckos, hundar och kossor.

Tuesday morning and it was time for us to leave Phnom Penh and take the bus to the south coast and Kep. A journey of about 150 kilometres which took about 5½ hours and where the air conditioner dripped down on our seats throughout the bus tour with occasional downpours during heavy braking. We were happy to get off the bus at Kep Beach and we now live about 6 kilometres north of Kep Beach at a newly opened place called Khmer Village Bungalow resort, Unfortunately, we dont have any internet where we live so the update will be frugal here, but it is amazing nice and quiet! We live in large bungalows on the northern part of Kep National Park among cows and rice fields. It is pitch black at night and the darkness is broken only by small lanterns hanging here in the area. The only thing you hear is the sounds of crickets, geckos, dogs and cows.
