Vi har nu spenderat en vecka i Kuala Lumpur och hur länge till vi blir här beror på Ulrikas skador som hon fått på benet (tack Daniel W för råd om behandling av såren! Det var lugnande att prata med dig!). Vi vill inte röra oss bort från bra medicinsk vård om nu läkeprocessen inte skulle gå åt rätt håll (det gör den, men väldigt långsamt!). Det skulle kännas olustigt att åka ut i djungeln på Borneo och så börjar Ulrikas ben käkas upp av mördarbakterier (Ulrikas livliga fantasi spelar en roll här)!!! Igår var första dagen som Ulrikas knä inte kändes som glas och gjorde ont, så vi har börjar röra på oss litegrann och uppleva Kuala Lumpur. Vi har nu varit på ett bitcoin meetup här i Kula Lumpur och vi fick träffa oerhört intressanta människor (Nazri, Colbert och Daniel)! Vi tog kontakt med Colbert via e-mail (som vi hittade genom facebook) och han tyckte att det skulle vara skoj att träffa oss, så han anordnade ett spontant bitcoin-möte med oerhört kort varsel! Vi jämförde den ekonomiska och politiska situationen mellan Sverige och Malaysia och pratade om bitocin-världen så väl som anarkokaptialist-världen med dess nyaste medlem Liberland! Här hittar ni en väldigt trevlig 20 minuters videointervju med Liberlands president och grundare Vít Jedlička. Det kändes som att vi hade väldigt lika åsikter om hur skadligt det politiska systemet med lagar, regleringar och licenser är för samhället. De tog upp exempel från Malaysia och vi kontrade med exempel från Sverige. De trodde oss inte riktigt först när vi berättade hur höga inkomstskatterna och kostnaden för arbetsgivare är i Sverige. Det var oerhört trevligt och vi fick även tips om möten i Singapore och introduktion till människor som rest till Europa för att vara med i uppbyggnaden av Liberland.
Idag har vi utnyttjat de gratis turistbussarna som de har här (trots relativt låga skatter!) och dagens utflyktsmål blev KL tower och Petronas (Twin) towers! Vi åkte bara upp i KL tower, då utsikten ska vara mycket bättre från det tornet! KL tower invigdes 1996 och är 421 meter högt. Vi åkte upp till den öpnna våningen cirka 300 meter upp i tornet. Det var en häftig utsikt över Kuala Lumpur och vi fick även se häftiga blixtar från det dagliga åskovädret som alltid drar förbi Kuala Lumpur vid den här tiden (enligt vad vi har fått erfara). Vi har också lyckats promenera runt i Chinatown med omnejd och vi har hittat en del häftiga byggnader som ni får se om ni kollar på bilderna nedan!
We have now spent a week in Kuala Lumpur and how much more days it will be depends on Ulrika’s injuries she received on her right leg (Thank you Daniel W for advice concerning the treatment of the wounds! It was reassuring to talk to you!) We do not want to move away from good medical care in case of the healing process changes and starts to go in the wrong direction (it goes in the right direction for now, but very slowly!). It would feel quite uneasy to go into the jungle in Borneo and Ulrika’s leg is munched up by a killer bacteria (Ulrika’s vivid imagination plays a role here)!!! Yesterday was the first day Ulrika’s knee did not feel like glass and hurted, so we could start to move around a little bit and experience Kuala Lumpur. We have now been on a bitcoin meetup here yesterday and we got to meet incredibly interesting people (Nazri, Colbert and Daniel)! We contacted Colbert via email (we found him through facebook) and he thought it would be fun to meet us, so he organized a spontaneous bitcoin meeting with incredibly short notice! We compared the economic and political situations between Sweden and Malaysia and talked about the bitocin-world as well as the anarco-captialist world with its newest member Liberland! It felt like we had very similar views on how harmful the political system of laws, regulations and licenses are to society. They brought up examples from Malaysia and we countered with examples from Sweden. They did not believe us at first when we told them how high the income taxes are and the cost for the employer to have employees in Sweden. It was extremely nice and we even got tips on meetings in Singapore and introduction to people who have traveled to Europe to participate in the building of Liberland.
Today, we have taken advantage of the free tourist buses here and today’s excursion was the KL Tower and Petrona (Twin) Towers! We just went up the KL tower, because we got the information that the view would be much better from the KL tower! KL tower was inaugurated in 1996 and is 421 meter high. We went up to the Open deck about 300 metres up the tower. It was a cool view of Kuala Lumpur from there and we also saw nice lightnings from the daily thunderstorm that always passes by Kuala Lumpur at this time (according to what we have experienced). We also managed to walk around in Chinatown and we have found some cool buildings that you can see if you check the images below!

Det är långt ned till marken! Ulrika kände att tornet lutade litegrann, men Pontus trodde henne inte så han tog fram vattenpass-appen och jovisst lutar tornet lite 🙂 It is a long way down to the ground! Ulrika felt that the tower leaned a bit, but Pontus did not believe her, so he took out the carpenter’s level-app and sure, the tower is tilting a little 🙂
