Before the last day of 2015, we chose to travel to Campeche to check off one more thing on our bucket list, and this was to see the Gulf of Mexico. It was also here that we said goodbye to 2015 and stepped into 2016. We kick-started the new year by getting engaged, after the clock struck midnight, on a small street with outdoor cafes here in Mexico.
Campeche looks inspiring about the same as the previous towns we’ve been to, so we have decided to go up in to the mountains. It was something we did not know about Mexico before we came here, and it was that the country is consisted of mostly mountains and it is only at the coasts, and the Yucatan Peninsula, where the country is at sea level. It will be very interesting to explore higher altitudes with more nature, so the next blog post will be from 2100 meters above sea level.
