Sipadan, Malaysia (Borneo) – Ett dykparadis!

On February 12 (2015), we started our trip when we got off the plane and put our feet on the Cambodian soil, and we have managed to visit 11 countries on three continents since then. We wanted to celebrate one year as nomads by making a list of the top 13 places we liked extra much during these 12 months that we have been travelling and we present them in alphabetical order below. It was really difficult to sort out the best places we have visited, therefore we decided to make a top-13 instead of a top-10 list. You can just follow the links if you want to see pictures from the places!

Acapulco, Mexico – It is mainly the people who make this place end up on our list, but we also like the tourist part of town and the bay makes the water calm so we can swim here.

Amed, Indonesia (Bali) – A small village in East Bali with very good diving spots and not as touristy as the rest of Bali.

Don Det, Laos – A very libertarian and small island in the Mekong River, that divides Cambodia and Laos in the south of Laos. You fall quickly into the peaceful atmosphere and enjoying the beautiful sunrises.

Jodhpur, India (Rajasthan) – Great city in northwestern India that brought our thoughts to the book thousand and one night!

Mulu, Malaysia (Borneo) – A National Park in the north of Borneo with large spectacular cave systems that you can explore!

Munnar, India (Kerala) – Located at 1700 meters altitude in south India and the small town is surrounded by tea plantations. It smells very good here and the mountainous scenery is fantastic!

Perhentian Islands, Malaysia – two islands with white sandy beaches, blue water and a green jungle. The diving is good, but we enjoyed the beach and the atmosphere most during our time there!

Puerto Escondido, Mexico – The food, the atmosphere and the scenery is so much better here than in the southeastern part of Mexico where most of the large, artificial tourist resorts are located.

San Cristobal del las Casas, Mexico – A colder part of Mexico at 2200 meters altitude. It can get cold there, especially in the evenings, but the town is very cozy with interesting and colorful architecture.

Singapore – A futuristic city that has many libertarian benefits if you do not have citizenship there. We liked very much hanging out with a great group of libertarians there!

Sipadan, Malaysia (Borneo) – A diving paradise! Fishes on steroids and so much sharks and turtles living around that island!

Ubud, Indonsien (Bali) – A libertarian place with many expats living there. We especially liked the bitcoin people and the peaceful atmosphere there.

Vang Vieng, Laos – Very nice scenery and plenty to do if you like outdoor activities such as climbing, and it was also a libertarian atmosphere here.
