Det har varit 11 dagars radiotystnad från vår sida för att vi har prioriterat att umgås så mycket som möjligt med fantastiska människor och lyssna på föreläsningar istället för att sitta med våra datorer. Men nu är Anarchapulco-konferensen över och vi ska försöka få lite vardag här i Acapulco. Vi kommer att försöka uppdatera bloggen lite oftare den närmaste tiden för att uppdatera om alla möten och föreläsningar vi varit på och vi har även varit gäster på frihetsfaxen där vi berättar mer detaljerat om våra upplevelser den första tiden i Acapulco och om konferensen. Det avsnittet kommer att publiceras på torsdag kl 9 på denna sida, men även på Youtube. Vi har hittat ett underbart tillfälligt boende här och vi vill delge historien som ledde fram till att vi nu bor i ett penthouse i Acapulco. Det var med spänd förväntning som vi tog bussen från Puerto Escondido till Acapulco då vi hört både bra och dåliga saker om staden. Vi checkade in på det hotell som vi hade bokat i förväg och gick ut för att hitta någon mysig restaurang där vi kunde äta middag. Där kontaktade vi de lokala anarkisterna för att berätta att vi nu kommit till Acapulco och det visade sig att restaurangen vi satt på var ett av vattenhålen där ankorna brukar träffas. Inom loppet av tjugo minuter så kom Linus, Thora, David, Achara och Steve dit för att möta upp oss. Fler ankor anslöt och vi bestämde oss för att fortsätta kvällen hemma hos Linus och det var då vi blev introducerade till anarkisthuset. Här bodde redan flera av de som skulle delta på Anarchopulco-konferensen och vi fick veta att det fanns en lägenhet som var ledig i samma hus. Efter att ha suttit och pratat till halv sex på morgonen, och sedan sovit några timmar hos Linus, så hörde vi med hyresvärden om de hade en lägenhet att hyra ut. Vi hade väldigt tur då det visade sig takvåningen var ledig. Vi blev genast förälskade i utsikten och det var självklart att vi skulle hyra denna bostad när vi fick höra det låga priset. Nu visste vi var vi skulle spendera den kommande månaden!

It has been 11 days of radio silence from our side and the reason is that we have prioritized to spend as much time as possible with amazing people and listening to lectures instead of sitting with our computers. But now the Anarchapulco conference has ended and we’ll try to get some every-day feeling for us here in Acapulco. We will try to update the blog more often in the near future to inform you about all the meetings and lectures that we have been on. We have also been guests at the “freedom fax machine” (a Swedish ancap podcast) where we talk in more detail about our experiences in Acapulco so far and about the conference. This episode will be published on Thursday at 9 am (swedish time) on this page and on youtube. We have also found a wonderful temporary accommodation here and we would like to share the story about how we ended up with a penthouse in Acapulco. It was with eager expectations that we took the bus from Puerto Escondido to Acapulco, because we had heard both good and bad things about the city before we arrived. We checked into the hotel we had booked in advance and went out to find a cozy restaurant where we could eat dinner. There, we contacted the local ancap community to announce that we now had arrived to Acapulco and it turned out that we had managed to find one of the water holes in Acapulco where the ancap’s usually met each other. Within twenty minutes Linus, Thora, Achara and Steve came to meet us. More ancaps joined and we decided to continue our discussion at Linus apartment. That was when we were introduced to the anarchist house. Here, several of those that would attend the Anarchapulco conference already lived and we found out that there was one more apartment available in the same house. After sitting and talking to half past five in the morning, we slept a few hours in Linus apartment, then we asked the landlord if he had an apartment to rent out to us. We were very fortunate to find out that the penthouse on the 10th floor was vacant! We immediately fell in love with the view and it was obvious to us that we would rent it when got to hear the low price for renting the apartment. Now we knew were we would spend the coming month!
